What was the nodcheckout project about?
The task was to create a WordPress and WooCommerce website for the Nodcheckout platform with custom-designed filtering capabilities. Two main challenges were:
- the website should have been fully customizable (but not built with a website builder),
- the project should have been completed fast, a week tops.
Project’s development
I understood I would need to move fast. To do so, I utilized the SASS CSS preprocessor to create reusable components of the UI. Before this project, I’d never worked with WooCommerce, so I had to learn from the ground up, which worked well. Eventually, I was able to finish the project within six days. I utilized the WordPress Theme Customizer and the Kirki Framework to speed up the process of making the website editable.
